Summer in the City

The curse of being busy and traveling – I haven’t been very good about updating my blog! It’s been a busy summer, here’s an update on what we’ve been up to.  We’ve been busy exploring parts of the city – there is always something new to try! Recently we explored South Street Seaport, which has tons going on and lots of fun. We discovered Beekman’s Beach Club, which is right on the water and features views of the Brooklyn Bridge. At sunset it’s amazing!

We’ve also explored waterside bars in the Upper West Side, including Pier One and the Boat Basin. Pier One is very casual, it’s not a restaurant (you buy food and then seat yourself). Boat Basin is more of a restaurant and it’s got stunning views of the water and there’s a dock where lots of boats are parked. Both great finds on a nice sunny day to get the breeze coming off the water!

And finally I’ve been lucky to have a lot of fun with girlfriends – and my best friend Courtney visited for a week! We took her to the Seaport for a happy hour at sunset, traveled out to Corona Park in Queens, and had a perfect happy hour at the Frying Pan on a sunny and breezy day. We also did a wine and chocolate night with some of my new york friends, and a day trip to Roosevelt Island where you take the tram over the East River. It was such a fun week!

Stay tuned for more adventures, including my trip to Atlanta and my two weeks in Florida!!
