Photo Credit: SuccessforSolopreneurs.ComSo I just finished reading "The Happiness Project" which illustrates how our choices, thoughts and patterns of behavior contribute to or take away from our happiness. It's a really interesting read. It makes you think about how you spend time (or waste time), how you manage life stresses, etc. So I'm trying to apply some of lessons to my own happiness! Let's start with: things you do in your spare time - just for fun.
Things I'm good at & enjoy spending time on:
-Keeping up with friends (I love to send letters, have phone dates, etc.)
-Taking - and posting - pictures.
-Traveling (it's a lifestyle, and a top priority)
-Planning events (just ask my friends who have gotten married!)
-Being organized (binders, to-do lists, etc.)
-Reading for fun
-Exercising
Things I'd LIKE to be good at/spend time on:
-Cooking
-French (have not touched Rosetta Stone in a year, it's bad)
-Photography (while I love taking photos, I'd like to really learn how cameras work)
-Seeing more of NYC (I stay in a lot)
-Singing (I miss it)
Things I wish I would spend time on, but probably will not:
-Doing the dishes (sorry. they will sit there until I need one)
-Taking exercise classes (I just don't like being told what to do)
-Playing piano (Nate and I both used to play but we don't have one)
Rather than view is as a resolution, I'm going to try to spend more time on these things I know I'd like to spend time on, but don't allocate enough time or resources to making it happen. Stay tuned!!
