Hello! Happy Friday! Today I'll write about my top 5 fun things that are interesting me right now:
1. Pinterest. This website is so fun and somewhat addicting. remember all those times you see a cute top, or pretty wedding photo and wish you could save it to remember later? I think of pinterest as a great brainstorming tool, where you can organize clippings of favorite things. I love it!
2. Harry Potter. I recognize that I'm the very LAST person on this bandwagon, but I will be honest: I had never gotten into it in the past, I found the first book slightly boring, and the first movie slightly scary. Never got any further than that. However, since I've been on vacation I've read the first two books (and I'm well into the third) and I've seen ALL 8 movies. I will say it's completely grown on me and I love it! I'm a potterhead!
3. Being outside. After being cooped up inside all winter in NYC, I'm finding myself wanting to be outside more and more! In Canada we spent a ton of time outside, and back in Florida I'm spending as much as is feasible given the high temps! My endurance definitely isn't what it used to be with the heat - but I'm trying.
4. Taking photos. With the new camera, I'm just starting to experience with different settings and learning how the manual options on the camera work. This is a slow work in progress! We'll see how it goes!
5. Words with Friends. This scrabble game on your phone is SO addicting and really fun! Also, as opposed to some other games, I feel like I'm learning things - vocabulary, strategy and logic. It's also great that you can play electronically and with friends! It's a lot of fun and I'm enjoying it!
Honorable Mention: Learning French - this is something I WANT to be working on right now, however I am being incredibly lazy on my vacation right now so I'm not focused - but I hope to be very soon!!

Top 5 Friday: Places in the World I Want to Go
Today I'm thinking about... TRAVEL! I'm a bit of a contradiction - too much travel and I crave being home and my routine, work and going to the gym and hanging out at home. But, too much of that, and I get restless, and I start dreaming about where I want to go next!
In no particular order, here at 5 places I'd love to go next, time and money permitting!
1. Bora Bora: Pictures of this place just don't look real to me. It's absolutely gorgeous, and far away from anything. It's where I will go one day on my honeymoon! You can stay in a glass-bottom private hut in an inlet lagoon where you can see the fish! Great restaurants, plus you can tour the island by land or by boat.
2. Capetown, South Africa: I was supposed to go here at the end of my internship in Tanzania summer 2009 - but after a bout with malaria AND a parasite, my parents thought it best I come home. Probably was for the best - but I still want to go!! I'd like to climb Table Mountain and travel to Robin's Island, where Nelson Mandela was held for 20 years before becoming President of South Africa.
3. Rio de Janiero, Brazil: seeing Christ the Redeemer, one of the wonders of the world, plus proximity to rainforests going north, and the beautiful beaches and food - this is a must go in the next few years!
4. Dubai, United Arab Emirates: pictures of this city are unlike anything I've ever seen. I would love to go here - of course it's ridiculously expensive, maybe one day! Ideally I would stay in the tallest building in the world - the hotel. There are so many things to do and see in this city, I've heard it's just incredible.
5. Great Wall of China: there's no one place in China I want to go more than the great wall - I'd love to see the cities as well, Beijing, Shanghai, and even the nearby Hong Kong. But more than anything I want to see and walk the great wall!
Happy Friday one and all, and even if finances restrict you, never stop dreaming about the places you can travel to!
